G’day! I have lined up a useful and interesting guest for next week’s live webinar.
Daryl Wehner teaches future All Blacks how to harness their emotions on (and off) the field, using the red2blue technique.
Here’s my best shot at describing it (and not doing it justice!):
It frames two states: Red (reactive, stressed, overwhelmed) and Blue (calm, clear, present).
The technique helps people and teams catch themselves when they’re in the “red” state, and then shift themselves deliberately into the “blue” state.
Hence: red to blue.
Daryl taught me a few of the tools a couple of years ago, and I’ve found them useful for myself, and also for my clients. I like to think of it as learning how to “calm up”, when you need to calm down. It’s really kinda cool.
