Next Week: "Critical Cadence" with Ben and Hugo
When projects take forever ... ... ... ... ...
G’day - a quick reminder, this week’s session on quiet change starts in a couple of minutes.
Next Week’s session - Critical Cadence
Ben and Hugo led product development at a medical goods manufacturer here in New Zealand. They’re smart people, working hard, and their business sells products all around the world. But their projects - each one developing a new product - were taking forever.
For. Ever.
The three of us are chatting, live, and then on YouTube, about how we sorted things out. That’s next week - in exactly 7 days from when this email was sent.
You’ll find the registration link and times down below ↓.
Ben and Hugo had looked at Critical Chain (ToC’s traditional project management solution) because it promises both faster delivery and on time. And who wouldn’t want those? But when we three talked, it became clear they needed more than just faster and on time. They needed massively faster, on time, AND a rhythm their business could actually absorb.
And together, the three of us created an approach I now call “Critical Cadence”.
We’re going to chat about the process of getting there.
Apologies for my word salad, but it’s worth me pointing out we’re going to talk about three distinct, interacting things:
Critical Cadence is the outcome - drip, drip, drip of new products.
Critical Chain is a project management methodology. I worked with Ben and Hugo to cherry-pick the best of that and combine it with the most useful bits of Agile.
Motorcade Method is the overarching method we used to get there.
Hope that doesn’t make your head 🤯!
Bottom line: If your projects are taking forever, join live or catch the recording.
