Selling Ideas, Part 3: The Five Lightbulbs π‘π‘π‘π‘π‘

Let me quickly introduce you to Billy Broasβs Five Lightbulbs marketing framework, which I learned about two or three years ago and have used ever since.
It's a simple marketing framework for people like me who need to sell their ideas, services and products.
Note:
I'm neither licensed nor qualified to teach anyone how to use the 5LBs for commercial selling - contact Billy directly if you need help with that.
Instead, I'll show you how it's helped me reframe how I sell ideas and solutions.
Today, I'll introduce you to the 5LBs. Tomorrow, I will share an example.
The Five Lightbulbs:
Hereβs the idea: Before anyone buys into your idea, they must believe five key things.
Think of each as a lightbulb that needs to be switched on.
π‘1:Β βWe Get Youβ - They need to believe you understand their situation, problems, and frustrations.
π‘2:Β βThose Options Arenβt the Best for Youβ - They need to see why common approaches or alternatives wonβt work as well.
π‘3:Β βOur Approach Is Best for Youβ - They need to understand what makes your approach different and better.
π‘4:Β βYou Can Trust Usβ - They need to believe in your ability to deliver.
π‘5:Β βWe Know What You Wantβ - They need to see the better future youβre offering.
That's it for now - I don't want to overwhelm you.
Tomorrow ... an example.
Until then,
Clarke
